About B

I’m Brie, an early thirty-something Canadian Londonian who love food, fitness, music and yoga.  I originally began blogging waaaay back in the stoneage of 2007 as one half of the ‘food-on-a-budget’ version of Hand to Mouth Kitchen with my friend N in NYC about our paralell struggles to eat well in two of most expensive cities in the world.  N, however, has moved on discovering that the fastest route to becoming a food writer is not, it seems to have a food blog.  After a mourning break, I returned to my blog and now write about whatever strikes my fancy.

So what does strike my fancy?  Of late its crossfit, food (and alternate approaches to nutrition), creative writing, yoga and music.   I travel extensively for work at an international charity and often post about my overseas adventures (food in Liberia? wrestling in Senegal anyone?) and my childhood in the frozen Canadian North.

If you’re interested in my published writings, visit here.  If you’re interested in my music visit here and if you’re interested in getting to know ME then email me at thehandandthemouth@gmail.com  I promise to write back.

Hi! My name is Ryan and I’m the editor of howtocookfantasticfood.com. I think you have an awesome food site so I posted a link to it in our blog directory. I wasn’t able to find your email address on your site but I’d like to invite you to be a part of our Featured Website program. I would love to send you more details about the program, so if you are interested, please email me at ryan [at] howtocookfantasticfood [dot] com.
